Deeply touched and inspired by these veterans, he suddenly decided to try fishing. He bought all his gear online and hired a boat to take him out on Lake Michigan. Because it was his first time, he had absolutely no idea what he was doing and failed miserably to catch anything.
But he felt something change within him.
Simply being on the water was like a shining light that saved him from all of his darkest thoughts and troubles. It was the first time in his life he felt truly at peace and in control of his world. In that beautiful moment, he had forgotten all about his sadness.
